The first PTSA General Membership meeting will be Thursday, October 7, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. via Teams here. Meetings include reports from Board Members and a parent education guest speaker or town meeting with a school or community leader. All are welcome to attend; however, voting on PTSA business is restricted to PTSA Members. Join or renew your membership this week.

Join the Clara Barton Elementary PTSA General Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 1 via Teams here. Receive PTSA updates from current board members and participate in the 2021-22 Board Member Elections. The 2021 nominating committee hereby places the following names into nomination:

The nominating committee has confirmed all nominees have been a member of a PTSA for at least 15 days prior to the election, per PTSA bylaws.

The positions of Secretary and VP of Volunteers remain blank. The nominating committee did their best to find a candidate to place on the slate for these positions but was unable to identify a qualified candidate. We invite you to step up and self declare for one of these positions. Nominations during the Membership Meeting will be taken from the floor, including self-nominations. Nominees and members of the community that are not currently PTSA members may participate in the elections by joining or renewing their PTSA membership here.

Joining us at our PTSA General Membership Meeting on February 3 at 7:00 p.m. will be Clara Barton principal Karen Barker to share plans and videos of return structure and answer questions.

Certified Parent Coach® Christy Keating will share her tips on raising well-adjusted kids, thoughts on when it’s okay to let your kids fail, and how to help them succeed by finding creative solutions to the challenges they face—whether that be at home, at school, or in life. Christy offers powerful insights, compassionate understanding, and specific tools and strategies to help parents guide their children to success.

Following the parent education class will be the PTSA General Membership Meeting where you can hear from PTSA and school leadership, and with an active membership, vote on PTSA business. We have an open board member position for VP of Volunteers and will be accepting nominations from the floor.
