Bring a flower (fresh or hand drawn) to an educator. PTSA will sell carnations by the flag pole for $2 each before school (while supplies last).

Sign up to bring a favorite dish for the educator potluck lunch – details soon!

Parents & students send an email, card, or note of appreciation to an impactful educator.
PTSA General Meeting coming up on Thursday 2/9/23 7pm
Hello Clara Barton Community,
Please join us this Thursday, 2/9/23 at 7:00pm for our General Membership Meeting. Mrs. Lecompte, our wonderful school counselor, has prepared a short presentation to highlight some hot topics in our school. Then stay and join us for our normal PTSA Board business and learn a little more about what CBE PTSA does for our wonderful school.
We will meet in person in the school library or you can join via TEAMs if you can’t meet us in person.

Spelling Bee Final Feb. 2/11
Spelling Bee
We want to welcome all parents and kids to join us for the School Spelling Bee Finals on 2/11. Please come and encourage our kids. The School Champion will advance to the District Level to be held in Seattle & hosted by Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Ice Cream Social is coming up on Friday September 23rd, 6-8 PM at Clara Barton Playground
Come join the fun and celebrate the return to school with the Clara Barton PTSA sponsored ice cream social! This is a free event open to all Bobcat families. No RSVP needed, just show up! Does it get any more lowkey than that? It’s a great chance to reconnect with friends and meet new ones. If you’d like to volunteer for this event or any others, please register to be a LWSD volunteer and then sign up!

Bobcats’ Fun Run Needs You!
The Bobcats Fun Run event is back on Friday, May 20. Rain or shine, all Bobcats will be encouraged to participate by running or walking laps on the school grounds for 20 minutes and to secure family, friend and neighbour sponsorship support for their participation. Go, Bobcats!
The success of this all-school event requires volunteers like you! Watch for more information on all the different ways you can help support this GRR-8 event. Also, if you have connections with organizations that may be interested in joining as a sponsor with donations or swag, please contact the Fun Run Co-Chairs. Virtual Math Night
Clara Barton PTSA and Mathnasium present, a virtual MATH NIGHT for all students. Crunch some numbers and sharpen your skills with fun, interactive games! This FREE event will be held on two Fridays 22nd and 29th of April in breakout rooms via Zoom.

Earth Day CBE Campus Cleanup
In celebration of Earth Day, help us beautify our community by picking up litter on the Clara Barton campus. Join us after school on Wednesday, April 20th, from 2:30-3:15 pm. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please dress for the weather. Parent chaperones also needed!

Ice Cream Social
Science comedy event, The Pirate Show! for Clara Barton families
In partnership with Clara Barton Elementary PTSA, virtual Pirate School is in session. This madcap, slap-dash pirate training academy allows youngsters and adults to discover their ‘inner-swashbuckler.’
Pirate School: The SCIENCE of Pirates! excites and motivates students with piratical fun. Concepts addressed will include:
Atmospheric pressure, wind, currents, sailboat aerodynamics (Science)
Simple machines (Engineering)
Navigation (Math)
Flight of a cannonball (Technology)
Kids are encouraged to attend dressed in costume.
