School Lunch Hero Day – May 6

Did you know that the kitchen staff at Clara Barton cooks and serves about 250 students every day at school? Our Lead Food Worker, Dylan Thompson, works full time. Angel Davis, our Food Service Worker, works part time during lunch service every day and our helper, Emily Hammond, comes in for a few hours on Tuesdays and Thursday to help with food preparation. The kitchen staff works tirelessly, without complaint, to provide nutritious meals for students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating food allergies for half the student population at Barton each day. This is no easy task.

On Friday, May 6, 2022, we will celebrate the 10th Annual School Lunch Hero Day! On this day, we would like to recognize our school nutrition employees, Dylan Thompson, Angel Davis, and Emily Hammond and our Lunch Supervisor, Louisa Case, for all their hard work and dedication at Clara Barton. They are our unsung heroes and we greatly appreciate them! THANK YOU!
